Ok, so this house was really the least fun to work on… Mostly because it needed the least amount of work. Truthfully, you could tell that this house was well loved by the previous owners. The interior was very clean, but sadly the home had been vacant for 4 years so the landscaping was either dead, overgrown, or covered in 12″ of pine needles. This home needed very little to bring it around. Here are the before photos.
So, as you can see, this house wasn’t terrible. It was actually pretty nice. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, granite tile counters, all on a large treed lot with an irrigation canal at the back of the property line.
Mostly, this house just needed paint, carpet, landscaping clean up, updated plumbing fixtures, and appliances.
Once the brush was cleaned up, you could actually see the walkway to the front porch again… The Exterior got a fresh coat of paint, in the same color for easy coverage… Plus, I always love a red house! Also, you might be wondering why I left the tall tree stump in the front yard. Well, it’s home to a lot of different birds and nests. It was an established habitat. Perfect for a bird lover or anyone who likes to listen to the sweet sounds of bird songs. I also put some sod in the front yard where there was originally a lawn years ago. I think it really helps with the curb appeal.
Once the 12″ of pine needles where removed from the backyard, we discovered paver patios and hardscaped walkways.
We tossed the hot tub, restained all the decks and painted the shed to match the house. We also disposed of the beat up dog pens and clotheslines.
The whole house was painted in one neutral color with white trim.
The kitchen got all new light fixtures, stainless appliances, new hardware, and a new faucet. The crown molding was previously wood, and I had it painted white to match the cabinets.
The bathrooms where outfitted with new faucets, bath hardware, toilets and shower trims.

The house turned out lovely. It went pending after 3 days on the market… I think that says it all.
