The Cinnamon Chair... Mid Century thrift score. Definitely worth $10.

I'm pretty cheap sometimes... The asking price was $15 and I negotiated it down to $10.  Sheesh, what's wrong with me?  My reasoning was... I have lots of junky furniture in the barn to redo, it's gonna take days to reupholster and the wood leg base needs refinishing.  Are you thinking what I'm thinking?  Um, lady, does $5 really make a difference?  Probably not, but for some sick mental reason, it made me feel like I was getting a deal.

Well, I loved this chair.  It was sooooo comfy.  There are a lot of Mid Century chairs out there with low backs.  It doesn't bother me, because I'm a shorty at 5'3...and 3/4" ... That's right, I'm still aspiring to be 5'4".  Anyway, this chair had cute proportions, and a high, soft back which made it extra cozy.

We kept this chair in our living room for almost 2 years.  It got lots of love, but then... We got a kitten!  Ugh, darn cat.  She started scratching at the beautiful cinnamon and cream tweed fabric.  Tweed is a cat favorite...  It's like catnip for them.  They just can't get enough of it!  I couldn't bear to see the chair get destroyed, so I sold it on Craigslist.  It was a sad day... I still miss it.  But, I'm all about sharing the love.
