Glimmer of hope... Debbie's Mid Century chair.
My sweet friend, Debbie, found this lil' cutie at the thrift store. With all the excitement of a little girl getting a new barbie, she called to see if I would reupholster it for her. It warms my heart that I'm not the only one who looks at worn out Mid Century furniture with a glimmer of hope in my eye. Debbie picked out the fabric and I tore into it. Let me tell you something, this thing had me pulling out hair...
Have you ever tried to solve one of these shackle puzzle's? The object is to get the center ring off the two connected horseshoes. Um, supposedly it's possible. And in fact, you've seen people do it. Plus, you've also seen people put the ring back on it.
Well, this chair was kinda like that. I knew someone put it together at one time, so there must be a way to take it apart. Well, what I never experienced before, was a chair that came apart into 4 individual pieces. Once I figured that out I was able to remove all the fabric and replaced it with the fun new fabric. The next chore was to figure out how to put it back together again. Oh boy... It was a challenge. But, it turned out cute, and Debbie love's it. Success!
